Update log : Updated Pulchra’s full build.
Pulchra (ZZZ) is one of the Physical characters with role. Pulchra (ZZZ) is one of the A Rank characters in Zenless Zone Zero.
Pulchra Build (ZZZ) is included in this guide, you can jump to Pulchra Build (ZZZ) Here.
Intro
To start, let me summarize Pulchra’s role: Pulchra is an “off-field Stun” character who also has the ability to buff the damage of on-field teammates. In combat, Pulchra serves three main purposes in a team:
She can provide off-field Stun.
She can increase the Stun rate from off-field, allowing on-field teammates to Stun enemies faster.
She can buff the damage of on-field teammates.
These are the three key roles she plays in combat.
Hunter’s Gait
Pulchra has four core skills in combat: Ex Special Skill, Assist Follow-Up, Chain Attack, and Ultimate.
When we activate the Ex Special Skill, Assist Follow-Up, Chain Attack, or Ultimate, Pulchra enters the Hunter’s Gait state. Upon entering this state, the six triangles below her avatar will light up to indicate that she has entered this state. So, what does the Hunter’s Gait state do? It has four main effects:
Increased Daze Value: After entering Hunter’s Gait, Pulchra’s Daze value increases by 30% for 6 seconds. You can track this buff by observing the icon’s duration. The icon lights up when the buff activates and dims after 6 seconds. As long as the icon is lit, the “30% increased Daze” buff is active.
Quick Assist Trigger: The moment Pulchra enters Hunter’s Gait, she triggers the Quick Assist of the previous character. This allows you to immediately switch to the previous character using Quick Assist.
Extended Duration: As long as Pulchra remains off-field, the Hunter’s Gait icon will stay lit, keeping the state active and maintaining the 30% increased Daze buff indefinitely, rather than being limited to 6 seconds.
Coordinate Attack : When Pulchra is in Hunter’s Gait and off-field, your on-field character can activate Pulchra’s Coordinate Attack by using their Special Skill. This can be triggered by either the Ex Special Skill or the regular Special Skill. The Coordinate Attack deals additional physical Stun damage and increases Daze. Each Coordinate Attack consumes one triangle icon. At M1 to M5, Pulchra can perform up to 6 Coordinate Attacks, while at M6, she can perform up to 8. Once all Coordinate Attacks are used, Pulchra exits Hunter’s Gait.
Binding Trap
Finally, there’s one more core skill to discuss: When there is an Attack teammate or a teammate from the “same faction” in the party, Pulchra’s Coordinate Attack, Ex Special Skill, Assist Follow-Up, Chain Attack, and Ultimate will apply a Binding Trap debuff to enemies for 15 seconds. This debuff increases the damage enemies take from Follow-up Attacks by 30%. However, if Pulchra is at M6, it’s not just Follow-up Attacks—enemies take 30% increased damage from all sources.
How to Play Pulchra
So, what is her combat rotation like? It’s actually quite simple:
Use either the Ex Special Skill, Assist Follow-Up, Chain Attack, or Ultimate to enter Hunter’s Gait.
Once in Hunter’s Gait, use Quick Assist to switch to your on-field teammate.
The on-field teammate uses their Special Skill to activate Pulchra’s Coordinate Attack.
The on-field teammate then uses Basic Attacks to allow Pulchra to perform Coordinate Attacks from off-field.
Once all Coordinate Attacks are used, repeat the cycle by using the Ex Special Skill or Assist Follow-Up to re-enter Hunter’s Gait and activate the Coordinate Attack again. This allows Pulchra to perform another 6 Coordinate Attacks.
In combat, I often use the Ex Special Skill and Assist Follow-Up to enter Hunter’s Gait, so you can use these as references.

Hunter’s Instinct
Pulchra (ZZZ) Core Passive
When Pulchra activates an EX Special Attack, Assist Follow-Up, Chain Attack, or Ultimate, she enters the Hunter’s Gait state, increasing the Daze she deals by 15%/17.5%/20%/22.5%/25%/27.5%/30% for 6s. After switching to another character, if Pulchra is still in the Hunter’s Gait state, the state will last until Pulchra switches back in. While in the Hunter’s Gait state and as the active character, when Pulchra lands a heavy attack on enemies, she can trigger a Quick Assist from the previous character in the squad.

For Pulchra, there are only three suitable W-engines: her Signature W-engine, Box Cutter, Koleda’s Hellfire Gear, and Lighter’s Blazing Laurel. However, since Blazing Laurel has a low ownership rate and is typically reserved for Lighter, we’ll focus on comparing Box Cutter and Hellfire Gear. At R5, Box Cutter deals slightly more damage than Hellfire Gear at R1.
In terms of Stun rate, there’s not much difference—both provide similar Daze values. In our tests, both weapons triggered the enemy’s “Stun state” at the same time. Box Cutter doesn’t require energy and has high uptime, as its buff activates whenever a Follow-up Attack is performed. Therefore, I believe Box Cutter at R5 is her best weapon. If your Box Cutter isn’t highly refined, you can use Hellfire Gear as a temporary substitute until you refine Box Cutter further.

For the 4-piece set, avoid Shockstar Disco because its effect only activates on-field, which doesn’t suit Pulchra’s off-field playstyle. Instead, go for Shadow Hollow as the 4-piece set. For the 2-piece set, Shockstar Disco is recommended though you can also opt for Critical Rate or Critical Damage sets if you want to maximize her damage.

Pulchra’s role in the team is as follows:
Her damage output isn’t particularly high, as she only contributes a small portion of the team’s damage.
She provides a 30% Follow-up Attack damage boost to your Main DPS (which upgrades to a “ALL damage boost” at M6).
Most importantly, she offers a moderate Stun rate. While her Stun rate isn’t as high as that of traditional Stun-focused teams, the damage your Main DPS can deal during the “Stun window” is significantly higher compared to traditional Stun teams.
