Caesar (ZZZ) Mechanism

Intro
Caesar, as a Defense type character, not only provides substantial shields like traditional Defense-type characters but also offers supportive functions like ATK boosts, vulnerability, Anti-Interruption, and grouping enemies.

Aboubt Caesar’s Shield
Caesar’s shield is her core and the source of all her support abilities. Unlike other defense-type characters, Caesar’s shield appears as an orange arc on the character’s right side and doesn’t interfere with other characters’ blue shield bars. Damage first depletes Caesar’s shield, which is shared by the entire team.

Caesar’s shield value is based on her base Impact, which is mainly from W-engine’s Secondary Stats and Disk Drives’ Main Stat, but not affected by battle Impact bonuses. M0 Caesar provides shield of around 4000, which can reach about 5500 if Caesar is equipped with her Signature W-engine and using Disk Drive “Proto Punk” with Impact as Main Stat in Slot 6, approximately half of a max-level character’s HP. The shield lasts up to 60 seconds. While active, Caesar grants teammates additional buff: up to 1000 ATK boost and enhanced Anti-Interruption. The ATK boost works like buffs from characters like Lucy, lasting longer and more stably. Even after the shield disappears, the buff will still remain for 5 seconds.

Caesar’s Anti-Interruption Strength
The Anti-Interruption boost is common in other characters’ skill descriptions. In practice, Caesar provides a very high level of Anti-Interruption, nearly ignoring most enemy attacks. Only a few combo heavy strikes can interrupt character actions.

Barrier of Resilience

Caesar (ZZZ) Core Passive

When Caesar activates EX Special Attack: Parry Counter, Chain Attack, Ultimate, or triggers EX Special Attack: Overpowered Shield Bash through Retaliation, she buffs the entire team with a Radiant Aegis shield equal to 300%/500%/700%/900%/1100%/1300%/1400% of her base Impact + 200/400/700/900/1100/1300/1400. The shield lasts for 90s and is equipped by the on-field character, with its value shared among the entire team. Any single instance of DMG will not exceed the Shield value.
While Radiant Aegis is active, the shield bearer’s Anti-Interrupt level is increased, and their ATK is increased by 40/135/240/400/650/900/1000. After Radiant Aegis expires, the buff remains for an additional 5s.

Battle Spirit

When there is another character in your squad who can activate Defensive Assist or is from the same Faction:

M1 – At battle start, Caesar provides a shield, triggering every 300 seconds. During the shield’s duration, nearby enemies’ all-attribute RES drops by 15%. This allows for a quick battle start even with zero energy. However, the 300-second cooldown is long, making the second shield inactive in high-level defense or survival battles.

M2 – Energy Regen is useless for Caesar as she doesn’t need frequent shield replenishment. The 1500 base ATK boost seems impressive but is very diluted, enhancing damage by only about 15%. The boost fluctuates if other characters provide percentage ATK boosts or if the buffing character wears gear like “The Brimstone” or “Hormone Punk.”

M4 – The mindscape optimizes her mechanism, increasing Assist Points recovery for Chain Attack and Ultimate from 3 to 4 or 6 points. When energy is not enough, Caesar can use Assist Points to use the Ex Special. This feature, with a 5-second cooldown, ensures Caesar maintains her skill rotation even when energy is insufficient.

M6 – Significantly boosts her damage. The second Ex Special and Assist Follow-up always crit, increasing damage by 50%, with main target damage further boosted by 50%. After using these skills, Caesar gains a 15-second 30% Crit Rate bonus and 60% Crit Rate Dmg bonus.

Caesar’s versatility ist stat-independent, allowing flexible gear combinations. When selecting W-engine, consider Daze Efficiency and Damage. Caesar should choose a W-engine with Secondary Stats as Impact, even using Qingyi’s Signature W-engine.

Sub Stats

The latest Disk Drive “Proto Punk” suits Caesar well. The 2 pc bonus increases shield amount by 15%, and the 4 pc bonus provides a 15% damage bonus to the team for 10 seconds. The trigger condition is simple: any character performing a Defensive Assist or Dodge Assist.

Other choices include Freedom Blue and Swing Jazz. Freedom Blue suits Anomaly main DPS teams, while Swing Jazz fits Daze teams with Stun characters. Proto Punk is ideal for dual Support teams.

Main stats
Choices are flexible. Caesar’s functionality isn’t tied to her stats, and she doesn’t need Energy Regen. Slot 6 should have Impact, Slot 5 can be Physical DMG Bonus or ATK% to boost damage, or even HP%, while Slot 4 can be AP or Crit Rate/Crit DMG based on team setup.

Sub stats
Like Main Stats, they’re flexible. Any stats don’t affect Caesar’s support ability, so farming for her Disk Drives purely for damage isn’t recommended.

Caesar (ZZZ) Team

Caesar (ZZZ) Ice Team 1

For Ellen, Caesar’s damage boost rivals Sousaku’s but takes less time per round. Caesar can replace Sousaku without affecting the team passive, joining Ellen and Lycaon in a Daze Team, or Ellen and Rina in a dual Support setup. Rina requires M1R1, or Sousaku remains superior.

Caesar (ZZZ) Disorder Team 2

Caesar’s shield and Anti-Interruption greatly enhance Jane’s combat resilience. In Assault teams, Seth’s shield is insufficient, and enemy attacks cause Jane to lose buffs. Switching to Seth for shield replenishment is time-consuming. Caesar’s shield eliminates the need to switch, improving flow and simplifying team operations.

 

Caesar (ZZZ) Assault Team

Zhu Yuan focuses on burst during Daze period, with Qingyi as an irreplaceable member. Caesar replaces Nicole, providing stronger damage boosts and crucial Anti-Interruption for Zhu Yuan, ensuring uninterrupted bursts.
