Planet Taikiyan was once an IPC scuttle site for spaceships, where value assessors were dispatched to clean up old ship wreckage for any remaining value.

Assessors regard an assignment to station in Planet Taikiyan as an exile with no return. On this tiny planet, mountains of carbon fiber and stainless steel traced the outline of giant ships before they were decommissioned, casting a shadow of emptiness over the steel ruins. The desire for recall intensified. For several years, assessors fought for high-standard parts below deck, rapidly fleeing and pursuing each other in the corridors of sunken ships while wearing propulsion equipment. They formed a set of underground rules in the shadows… Even so, none of the trapped beasts had their wishes fulfilled. No one was able to return.

The underground rules established by the trapped assessors did not escape the IPC’s surveillance. Footage from their wearable cameras were transmitted back to the IPC and used as jokes by the higher-ups. The Traditional Project Department investor thought deeply about this, and sniffed out a faint scent for “entertainment.”

According to the plan, the first Taikiyan Roboball competition in the galaxy would be created on Taikiyan. Several planet terraforming machines descended here. The decommissioned spaceships were yanked out in their entirety, not leaving a single shadow behind. The then-obscure little planet has been transformed around the sport of Roboball, becoming a dazzling athletic hub in a flash. “By that time, no one will care about its ludicrous beginnings, leaving only pure sportsmanship and high-value commercial agreements.”

Athletes wearing propulsion equipment and armor, ever-changing three-dimensional race tracks, sparking clashes between bodies… The moment the Roboball Competition is announced, the attention of the entire galaxy is captured by it. From then on, the planet once shrouded in darkness has never seen a moment of shadow.

In the massive stadium, both the home and visitor teams are evenly matched, and the vociferous audience fills up the dome. They roar the names of the team and the players, a thunderous cacophony that does not end. Outside the dome, the planet is also bustling with activity. Broadcast licenses, exclusive sponsorships, and advertising contracts are fought over in the trading market. Underground betting is rife, with excitement and disappointment often sharing the space… The inky shade of the night has long been transformed into a silent radium backdrop to the stadium’s light shows.

Since its inauguration, the Taikiyan Stadium has flooded the dark nights with bright lights, and no one even remembers where the faded shadows are now hidden.
