Vivian (ZZZ) Build

Vivian’s gameplay revolves around acquiring Flight Feathers and converting them into Guard Feathers through specific actions. Both Flight Feathers and Guard Feathers have a maximum cap of 5 stacks. Once converted into Guard Feathers, Vivian can switch to an off-field, consuming Guard Feathers to assist the Main DPS in dealing damage.

Ways to Obtain Flight Feathers
Vivian can gain Flight Feathers through six methods:

1. Basic Attack (5th Hit): The fifth strike of her Basic Attack combo is a thrust with her umbrella. If this thrust hits an enemy, she gains 1 Flight Feather.

2. Perfect Dodge During Basic Attack V: DuringBasic Attack V, Vivian automatically performs a Perfect Dodge. If triggered successfully, she gains an additional 1 Flight Feather.

3. Ex-Special Skill: Using her Ex-Special grants 3 Flight Feathers.

4. Assist Follow-up: Using Assist Follow-up grants 2 Flight Feathers.

5. Chain Attack: Using Chain Attack grants 2 Flight Feathers.

6. Ultimate: Using her Ultimate instantly grants 5 Flight Feathers (max stacks).

Converting Flight Feathers into Guard Feathers
When Vivian has Flight Feathers, performing a plunging attack converts all Flight Feathers into Guard Feathers. To trigger a plunging attack:

• After the 5th Basic Attack thrust hits an enemy, Vivian enters Suspension.
• Press Basic Attack again to perform the 6th hit (plunging attack), converting all Flight Feathers into Guard Feathers.

In practice, simply pressing Basic Attack continuously will automatically execute the plunging attack.

However, relying solely on Basic Attack spam to trigger Suspension is inefficient, as it requires completing the full 5-hit Basic Attack. Instead, there are five faster ways to enter Suspension:

1. Ex-Special Skill.
2. Dodge Counter.
3. Quick Assist.
4. Assist Follow-up.
5. Chain Attack or Ultimate.

Since Ex-Special, Assist Follow-up, Chain Attack, and Ultimate both grant Flight Feathers and enable fast Suspension, they are usual ways for efficient Flight-to-Guard conversion. Based on testing, Basic Attack, Ex-Special, and Assist Follow-up are the most frequently used methods in combat.

Important Note: If Vivian enters Suspension and the player switches to another teammate, she will automatically perform a plunging attack, converting all Flight Feathers into Guard Feathers. Thus, in practice, once Vivian is in Suspension, you can immediately swap to your Main DPS without manually triggering the plunging attack.

Purpose of Guard Feathers
When Vivian is off-field with Guard Feathers, two conditions trigger her special Basic Attack:

• The on-field character uses an Ex-Special.
• The on-field character inflicts an Anomaly status on an enemy.

Each special Basic Attack consumes 1 Guard Feather and, if the enemy is already under an Anomaly effect, triggers an additional Anomaly instance based on Vivian’s Anomaly Proficiency.

Additionally, while the enemy remains under an Anomaly effect, Vivian will attack them with Ether DoT (Damage over Time) every 0.5 seconds. This Ether DoT can trigger all on-hit Anomaly effects, such as Shock or Corruption.

Core Passives

• When Vivian enters the battlefield, she gains 2 Flight Feathers.
• She also provides a 12% teamwide boost to Ether Erosion DMG and Corruption (Disorder) DMG.

Combat Rotation Summary

1. Use the six methods mentioned to accumulate Flight Feathers.
2. Once enough Flight Feathers are gathered, make Vivian enter Suspension (via Ex-Special, Assist Follow-up, etc.).
3. Immediately swap to the Main DPS, letting Vivian automatically plunge and convert Flight Feathers → Guard Feathers.
4. The Main DPS stays on-field dealing damage while Vivian consumes Guard Feathers from off-field to trigger special Anomaly effects.
5. Once Guard Feathers are depleted, repeat the cycle: Switch back to Vivian, generate Flight Feathers, convert them, and return to off-field support.
