Some key mid and late-game materials never appear as map markers. Use this list when the interactive map cannot show a node — then farm, craft, or unlock the right system instead.
Palworld Materials Not on the Map
Our Palworld map shows world spawners (ores, berries, oil fields, Paloxite, and more).
Everything below is crafted, dropped, pumped, fished, or quest-gated — so it will not show as a pickable pin.

Mid-game materials
Hardwood Logging
No dedicated Hardwood pin on the map. Cut trees in colder / harsher regions, or assign Pals to a high-level logging station that outputs Hardwood.
Used for mid-tier wood products and later recipes that also need Mythical Wood.
Crude Oil Facility
Oil does not spawn as loot piles. Open the map → Resources → Oil Field, place an Oil Pump on the field, then collect Crude Oil over time.
Feeds Plastic / Polymer chains for guns and late machines.
Coralum Ore Fishing
Almost no reliable land veins. Use magnet fishing spots (map: Fishing Spot) and late Coralum production buildings when unlocked.
High Quality Pal Oil Drops
Dropped by specific Pals (Dumud and related). Farm or butcher — not a world ore node.
Late-game materials
Chromite Detector / Pit
There is no useful Chromite world spawner on the map. Unlock the Metal Detector route, build a Chromium Pit, or farm Pals that drop Chromite.
Required to craft Hexolite armor and Mythical Wooden Board.
Hexolite Smelting
Crafted alloy — not mined. Smelt Chromite + Hexolite Quartz + Ore in a Gigantic Furnace (or equivalent late furnace).
Hexolite Quartz is on the map (Minerals → Hexolite Quartz). Chromite is the bottleneck.
Ancient Civilization Parts Boss / Lucky
From Alpha bosses, Lucky Pals, and some expeditions. Used for Ancient Technology, schematics, and research — never a resource pin.
World Tree / endgame
World Tree Holy Water Quest
Drink this (and keep it on your active Pal) before harvesting Paloxite or other World Tree nodes, or they vanish. Unlocked through the World Tree questline — see How to Unlock the World Tree.
Mythical Wood Chests / drops
Not a logging pin like Ancient Bark. Comes mainly from World Tree rewards / chests. Craft into Mythical Wooden Board with Hardwood + Chromite.
Paloxite Ingot Craft
Ore nodes for Paloxite and Soralite are on the map. The ingot is crafted (Soralite + Paloxite + Holy Water) and is what endgame gear actually consumes.
