Mantis has strong empathic powers that allow her to know exactly how others are feeling. Her alien ability to alter the emotions of those around her proves invaluable on the battlefield. Despite her skills, Mantis finds true happiness only when she’s with her fellow Guardians of the Galaxy.

After being captured by the Collector and put on display at his theme park, Mantis managed to escape with the help of her fellow captives, Sai and Jeff. Now, she travels the spaceways hoping to reunite with her team, while welcoming other displaced souls into the Guardians’ found family.

Strengths

In the Marvel Rivals game, Mantis excels when teamed up with diving Vanguards and flanking Duelists. She can apply her Healing Over Time and Damage Boost abilities during each dive, enhancing their effectiveness. As a versatile Strategist and a true jack-of-all-trades, Mantis fits seamlessly into any team composition.

Weaknesses

Mantis’s main limitation is the lack of movement abilities, which can sometimes make positioning and evasion challenging during intense battles.

Tips and Tricks

Reserve Spore Slumber (Left Shift) for Diving Threats: Save your Spore Slumber ability for enemy Duelists who are likely to dive and attempt to eliminate you. Activating it at the right moment can incapacitate them long enough for your team to provide support.
Pre-Heal Diving Teammates: Apply your Healing Over Time to allies who are about to dive into combat. Use Allied Inspiration (E) on heroes dealing significant damage to amplify their output.
Utilize Loki’s Clones: Loki’s clones are easy targets for headshots, which helps regenerate your Life Orbs. Take advantage of this to maintain your healing resources.
Contribute to Damage Output: Don’t hesitate to deal damage, especially when your team is in a secure position and doesn’t require constant healing. Dealing damage accelerates the charge of your ultimate ability, which is powerful enough to sway the outcome of the next fight in your favor.
