Illyana Rasputin was born with the mutant ability to create portals, allowing her to teleport through a nether realm known as Limbo. She enhanced her natural gifts with powerful sorcery and wields an arcane, soul-fueled sword to become the formidable warrior called Magik.

As the ruler of Limbo, Magik serves as a general in a war that spans across timelines and dimensions, battling malevolent gods and demons. She often consults with her mutant allies on Krakoa, discussing the best strategies for their species’ survival in the aftermath of the Timestream Entanglement.

Strengths

In the Marvel Rivals game, Magik becomes nearly unstoppable once she gets close to her enemies. She gains bonus health whenever she deals damage, making her exceptionally tanky. Combined with her numerous escape abilities, this makes her both resilient and elusive on the battlefield.

Weaknesses

Magik struggles against long-range and flying heroes. Her larger hitbox for a duelist makes her more susceptible to crowd control effects. Players should be prepared for opponents who will frequently attempt to disable her.

Tips and Tricks

Avoid Direct Lines of Sight: Stay out of the line of sight of long-range heroes. Instead, close the distance by flanking and attacking from unexpected angles to catch enemies off guard.
Execute High-Damage Combos: To one-shot squishier enemy targets, start by hitting them with your ranged right-click ability. Then quickly use Umbral Incursion (E) followed by a left-click attack. This sequence can deliver surprising burst damage.
Aim Your Demon Carefully: After exiting Stepping Discs (Left Shift), you have the opportunity to aim your demon in the desired direction. Avoid the habit of immediately spamming abilities upon exiting; taking a moment to aim can significantly enhance your effectiveness.
Combine Abilities During Demon Form: When you activate your Demon Form (Q), you can simultaneously use Umbral Incursion (E) and a left-click attack right after exiting Stepping Discs (Left Shift). This powerful combo can make you feel like you’re slicing through the entire map, greatly impacting the fight.
