Previous Tier : SS
The Whirlwind ability boasts formidable multipliers and unparalleled utility in the game, rivaled only by the Death Blow Barbarian. Its Legendary Aspect, the Whirlwind Grip, is especially noteworthy as it enables you to draw in nearby foes towards you, resulting in dense enemy clusters that can cause damage for certain classes to skyrocket. Furthermore, the Whirlwind ability is highly adaptable, catering to a wide range of playstyles, from high-level team content to speedy solo runs at lower levels.
Previous Tier : SS
Among the various builds in Diablo 4, Upheaval stands out with some of the most impressive multipliers. These stack up to create an explosive playstyle that delivers massive bursts of damage. Although this build packs a powerful punch, it falls short in terms of utility when compared to Whirlwind. Moreover, its damage output can be less reliable. Nevertheless, the sheer magnitude of damage dealt by this build earns it a spot in the SS-tier.
Previous Tier : SS
The Twisting Blades build centers around lightning-fast reflexes and precise timing to execute devastating attacks from the shadows. By mastering the combo system, you can chain together attacks, with the speed of your skills’ cool down increasing as you strike more enemies. This results in a high-burst, high-mobility playstyle that’s perfect for those who enjoy a flashy approach to combat.
Previous Tier : SS
There are two primary variants of this build: one that centers around Deep Freeze as a core component, and another that focuses on the use of Blizzard for its chilling effect and additional damage and area-of-effect potential. Both variants offer high durability, thanks to the use of Barriers and the potential for 50% damage reduction against Elites, allowing the build to withstand high levels of burst damage. The primary focus and rotation of the build involve freezing the field and activating Ice Shards manually and passively through an Enhancement. The difference between the two variants lies in their approach to survivability and damage output. The Deep Freeze variant serves as a last resort when low on health or resources, offering a way to escape certain death while still dealing damage and retaining some durability. On the other hand, the Blizzard variant utilizes the added damage potential from chilled enemies, which is further enhanced through Paragon Tree modifiers, resulting in significantly more substantial damage output.
Previous Tier : SS
Landslide is widely considered to be the most potent druid build in terms of raw damage output. Its aspects enable it to activate twice, effectively doubling its damage potential if successfully executed. Furthermore, the same aspect increases Landslide’s damage for each enemy it hits, making it a highly scalable ability in team play. Moreover, the passive skill “Primal Landslide” allows players to collect Terramotes upon stunning enemies, which can be spent to ensure a critical strike chance and enhance the critical strike damage of Landslide by 40%, especially if combined with Petrify. This gives the build a remarkable ability to deal immense damage to elites and bosses, with a 25% increase in critical strike damage against regular targets and 50% against elites. Despite its potent offensive capabilities, Landslide still retains the Druid’s signature fortify and durability benefits, making it a reasonably sturdy build overall.
Previous Tier : SS
This build boasts incredibly high single-target damage, as well as solid area-of-effect damage, thanks to its built-in Vulnerability and constant critical strike chances. Additionally, Bone Spear offers exceptional defensive capabilities, making it an all-around formidable build. Moreover, Bone Spear features the highest-scaling keystone passive of any build, adding to its already impressive damage output. All in all, there’s a lot to love about this build.
Previous Tier : S
Although Bleed has decent damage and utility, it falls short in comparison to other Barbarian builds. However, the build excels in high sustain damage and scales well in area-of-effect situations, making it a decent choice overall.
Previous Tier : S
The Penetrating Shot build appears impressive on paper, with solid base damage, decent single-target capabilities, and impressive area-of-effect potential. However, it falls short compared to the Barrage build when it comes to applying Vulnerability, which could limit its effectiveness in certain scenarios. It’s essential to consider this aspect before committing to this build. Despite this shortcoming, the Penetrating Shot build can shine when paired with a Barbarian in a party setting. The Barbarian’s raw power and ability to apply Vulnerability complement the Penetrating Shot’s high mobility and long-range damage, resulting in a balanced and formidable team.
Previous Tier : S
This build deals damage with summons, primarily Hydra, while constantly cycling through skills. It has a high CDR and will have near 100% uptime on Barriers, due to “Protection“
Previous Tier : S
The Shred build centers around dealing massive damage while in the Ultimate Werewolf form granted by Aspects. This build excels at dealing damage with Shred and doesn’t necessarily require a basic generator, thanks to the significant resource reduction cost while in the Ultimate form. Additionally, the build utilizes Aspects that allow for passive resource generation when healing. Passive healing occurs every second for each mob surrounding you, and you also gain 10% of your maximum life for every enemy killed while in Werewolf form, further enhancing the build’s sustainability.
Previous Tier : S
Blood Surge is a build that focuses on overpowering enemies with damage based on your maximum health. It excels as an area-of-effect powerhouse but suffers a massive 80% reduction in single-target damage output. As a result, defeating bosses may prove to be a challenge. Despite this drawback, the build boasts an impressive HP pool and regeneration rate, making you practically immortal in battle.
Previous Tier : A
Hammer of the Ancients is a promising build that could potentially rise to the top with the right setup. It boasts high damage output, exceptional mobility, and impressive area-of-effect sustain damage. Despite these strengths, the build is currently underperforming compared to other popular builds and lacks the utility of Whirlwind and Death Blow.
Previous Tier : A
The Werebear Build excels at utilizing the core skill Pulverize and associated Aspects to deal massive area-of-effect damage. The build boasts a high critical strike chance and bonus critical strike damage due to the Grizzly Form (Ultimate). While the build includes a generator, the hope is to proc Earthen Might enough to fill the spirit gauge for continuous Pulverize spam. Additionally, Earthen Bulwark provides fortify, and its associated aspects significantly enhance the already high durability and tankiness of the Grizzly form. Moreover, utilizing aspects that increase damage when Fortify is active further pushes the build’s damage potential.
Previous Tier : A
Corpse Explosion has gained popularity on different communities recently, with many users raving about its overpowered chain reactions of exploding corpses. However, this build may not be as effective in late-game scenarios when enemies become tougher and the chain reactions start to fizzle out, leaving players in a vulnerable position.
